Mandalorian Rubber Hip Armour (X2)

After several months in the background, we have finally completed our Mando Hips. Sculpted in Fusion, this is a ground-up design using both private and publicly available references on Mando's Hip  Tasset) Armor.

This listing is for two (x2) Hip plates.

Pressure Cast in Shore 85A Urethane Rubber in our 2-part mould ensures uniform thickness for this tough but comfortable accessory. It is sure to make you look as good as you will feel wearing it, as with most Urethane Rubbers; although the item is pre-coloured to avoid discolouration due to UV exposure, we recommend painting the rubber with the following procedure:

1. Wash part in HOT water & dish soap (or even a cycle in the Dishwasher). This removes any vestige of any release agent used in the production.
2. Clean up any edge flashing with a medium grit sandpaper
3. Spray your choice of Montana gold or Belton brand spray paint over the surface in 1-2 layers (note no primer or sealer is needed the thinner the coating the better the part will hold up to flexing)

Note: as with all rubber parts unless you are going into specialist high performance systems like imperiflex the parts will wear over time & should be considered a normal part of maintenance to repaint these parts as and when needed, but short of extreme flexing the paint should last well on the surface 

Mounting:

We recommend 2 part epoxy bonding fabric on the rear face with Velcro straps sewn to terminate inside your belt.
